Felipe Melo’s ‘pretexts’ in eliminating Palmeiras vs. tigers

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil /

Almost two months after that Tigers eliminated Palmeiras in the Club World Cup Semifinals, The Brazilian veteran, Felipe Melo, Verdao player, argued the excuses for which the Brazilian team could not with the Mexican.

HE SAYS TO TAKE THEM TIRED

In an interview with ESPN Brazil, Melo argued that they came to the tournament on Qatari soil with very little rest time, especially days after winning the Libertadores against Sants.

“Honestly, I don’t see the blame on the psychological, I see guilt in the physical part. Psychology influences a lot, but from the moment you leave such an expressive title, as is the title of Liberators, however desired it may be. Palmeiras’ obsession is with Libertadores. You go with a feeling of, ‘Wow, we did what was expected of us in the season,’ ”he noted.

Melo, 37 years old and already in his last years as a footballer, he added that Tigres had the Handicap in favor of having arrived in Qatar a week earlier and having fewer games on his feet than Palmeiras.

“I remember breakfast opened at 7:00 am and everyone was already there. We change night for day, and that’s very complicated. In the meantime, we have Mexican football that had, instead of 80 games in the season, 40 games nothing more and that came a week earlier!
