Two years after the died in Miami of a Cuban after being beaten by Mexican actor Pablo Lyle, The victim’s partner continues to demand justice.
“Only God gives me the strength to move on and my children,” he told Telemundo Mercedes Arce, widow of Juan Ricardo Hernández.
“I was very devoted to Santa Barbara,” the woman sadly added, leaving flowers and a candle at the spot where Lyle punched Hernandez in the face on March 31, 2019, after arguing for a traffic violation.
“On weekends he always came with 12 red roses and he was a devotee of Santa Barbara,” he said in the program Let go of the soup.
Maple thanked the gas station workers in front of whom the incident occurred, for giving their testimony to police during the investigation.
He also placed a sign of remembrance to his partner in which he asks the drivers to drive carefully.
“Just remember it, it’s always in my heart, I always get up and go to sleep with it in my mind. I wish it would stay in everyone’s memory, so they know what happened.” , he added.
Juan Ricardo Hernández was 63 years old when he died at Jackson Memorial Hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage, after remaining unconscious and intubated for several days.
On the fateful day of the assault, Pablo Lyle and his family were heading to Miami airport to travel to Mexico, but in a hurry to get there they crossed the road and obstructed the passage of the car driving the Cuban.
He claimed them and in response the actor got down from the act and gave Pinazo in the face which knocked him unconscious. Lyle and his relatives left the place lying on the street.
Two years later, his wife remains devastated by the tragedy. She says that during this time she has been hospitalized many times and that she has not been able to return to work.
“I shed blood when I hit his arms, and he hurt us all. His poor old lady, his mother, who is in Cuba,” he recounted.
“We were going to get married this Friday, and it all came to an end,” he recalled, showing off the engagement ring his fiancé had given him.
Now his main concern is to celebrate the trial, which was adjourned from March 15 to June 7 at the behest of Lyle’s lawyer, who as a defense strategy states that the actor acted in self-defense.
“I am still praying for divine justice, which is that of God, that without God nothing can be done,” Arce stressed.
The woman assured that she and her family will be present at the trial against Paul Lyle. The 32-year-old actor could serve a sentence of between 5 and 15 years in prison if convicted.
“The facts speak for themselves,” he said, referring to the defendant’s self-defense allegation.
“God has the last word,” he concluded.
A hearing will be held on May 27 to verify the status of the case and confirm whether the parties are ready to begin the oral hearing.
Lyle was arrested at Miami airport the same day of the incident. He was charged with assault and released on $ 5,000 bail.
The actor lives in his sister’s house in Miami and carries a GPS monitor on his ankle. You are not allowed to work in the United States.
