Bears add WR Kadarius Toney, QB Kyle Trask in a new 2-round drill

The concerns of the Chicago quarterbacks are no secret, after not having traded for Russell Wilson and settling in with Andy Dalton. There’s no better time for GM Ryan Pace to break his streak of not stepping on a quarterback than this year.

The Bears won’t get a quarterback in the top five, but there are still some development prospects on the board that could go up on day 2. McShay makes the Bears face his quarterback worries with Kyle Trask of Florida in the second round with the 52nd. general selection.

Here is what McShay said about Trask:

Similarly in Washington, the Bears dive into the QB pool on day 2 with Trask, who has great tact and anticipation in his passes despite some shortcomings in arm strength. He could learn behind Andy Dalton and Nick Foles and change him to become a potential track starter.

While there is a belief that Chicago could negotiate to draft one of the top five possible quarterback (who will likely be off the board before selection 20), it may not be so.

The Bears would have been doing their homework on the second day’s quarterbacks, which would make Trask a likely choice for a team that is still looking for a franchised quarterback.
