The video shows a man sweeping an Asian store in North Carolina

A shocking video shows the moment a mad man wielding a stick destroys a Korean-owned convenience store in North Carolina while shouting racial insults, according to reports.

Mark Sung, whose family owns the Charlotte store, said the dirt that destroyed his business would have been hired by a customer who had been banned from the store.

“It simply came to our notice then [trashing the shop], it was like saying racial insults, cursing us, threatening us, “Sung said.” And the guy we banned ended up going into the store, cheering him on and yelling, that’s what you get! Go back to your country! “

Images from last week’s Sundries Square show the culprit knocking down an exhibitor before he starts turning the metal stick on the glass of the store’s refrigerated display cases.

Suspect Xavier Rashee Woody-Silas, 24, now faces a series of charges in the incident, including theft with a dangerous weapon, communication of threats and disorderly conduct. Charlotte Area Transit System said on Twitter.

The incident happened Tuesday at the Charlotte Transportation Center, where the store is located in downtown Charlotte, according to authorities.

“The suspect has also been banned from all CATS facilities and services,” the agency said in a statement. “CAT has verified that G4S has increased the presence of officers in the CTC.”

According to WBTV-News, the attack caused more than $ 9,000 in damage.

Sung said the family has been targeted by his Asian-American heritage before, and said his mother has taken the last assault especially hard.

“She’s like,‘ What’s the point? “He said.” ‘Why do they treat me like shit every day?’ We just want to be left alone in peace.

More than $ 30,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe page to help the family pay for the damages.

“It’s easy for people to attack us because we’re the minority,” Sung added. “I’ve been facing growing racism here in Charlotte all my life, so it’s nothing new.”

But the family has also received an outpouring of support.

According to ABC News, more than $ 30,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe page to help the family pay for the damages.

Other supporters showed up in person, including a woman who came into the store with soup for the family, a pizza delivery man who brought them five cakes and a local doctor who happened to leave a check to make up for their costs.

The United States has recently seen an increase in anti-Asian attacks.
