USA deploys a Usaid team in North Triangle

The Government of Joe Biden will deploy a team from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to address “urgent humanitarian needs” a Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.

The group, known as Disaster Assistance Response Team or DART, is made up of disaster experts, focused on expanding emergency food assistance, as well as other humanitarian programs, according to a statement.

Defined as “elite team” by the Usaid, This group “will assess humanitarian needs, coordinate with local partners and officials, and provide urgently needed assistance to families and communities affected by the crisis.”

With this deployment, the Agency is leading the “humanitarian response” of the Government of the United States in the North triangle which coincides with an increase in the arrivals of migrants from Central America to the American border.

“The deployment of a DARD it will provide the necessary humanitarian assistance, helping the people of the region where they are, ”the vice president said.
