Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Patch 1.2, now available on PS5, promises to fix major bugs

Elysium Disc The Final Cut Patch 1.2

Update: Typical. Typical bleeding. Write an article about a patch that has been missing for an entire week, and doing so appears almost as soon as you click “publish.” Unreal time, but at least update 1.2 is already here. It is now available for download on PS5.

Meanwhile, let’s assume the PS4 patch is imminent.

Original story: Disco Elysium: The Final Cut was released on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 just over a week ago. We currently play it and think it’s a really fascinating title, but there’s no denying the extent to which it can be a mistake. In fact, we’ve gotten to a point where a particularly nasty bug prevents us from following a specific story – a bug that should be corrected with the next game update, patch 1.2.

However, this update has been missing for a week. Recently, developer ZA / UM said the patch was expected to arrive yesterday (i.e. April 6), but it never arrived. As such, disgruntled players have been left essentially at a limit, including ourselves.

We hope that the said update will appear suddenly at any time, but it remains an unfortunate situation. Again, Disco Elysium is clearly something special, but mistakes have aggravated our experience so far. Of course, we will update this article if the patch falls in the near future.

Have you had any issues with Disco Elysium on PS5 or PS4? Are you waiting for this patch?
