Thirteen people at a COVID-19 vaccination site in Colorado had adverse reactions to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine Wednesday, closing the day’s operations, according to a report.

Officials did not disclose the types of reactions suffered by less than 1% of the more than 1,700 people who were shot.

The vaccination effort was being sponsored by the state and Centura Health. More than 600 people by appointment on Wednesday were unable to receive the vaccines after the early closure.

“We followed our protocols and, with great caution, made the decision, in collaboration with the state, to pause operations the rest of the day,” Centura Health officials said in a statement obtained by the newspaper.

People with appointments who withdrew will be rescheduled to receive the shots at a different location on Sunday.
