The last Honduran convicted of drug trafficking in the United States is Juan Antonio Hernández, a former congressman for Lempira and brother of the current Honduran president, Juan Orlando Hernández. Geovanny Fonts, another Honduran accused of drug trafficking, was found guilty by the Southern District Court of New York, although he is still awaiting conviction.
