Strangers raid the home of a Mexican journalist who reported the murder of a Salvadoran

As Canul reported in Article 19, the front door and several pieces of furniture in his home in Tulum “were damaged” and his “stationery was cluttered and thrown away.”

He explained that he had to call the local police twice to report the incident and the patrol arrived at the home an hour and a half later.

He considered that “it was not a normal robbery” as “it was with ferocity”, he claimed to have found “a footprint that could be from a policeman’s boot” and suspected that “they were looking for something more”.
