German producer IKSample has a long history of providing location services through film, television and video game media (as you can see for yourself by reading the credits on the company’s website). However, one or two a lot interesting video game projects appear on its project page and an individual with eagle eyes has not seen any remaster Sonic Colors just sitting there on the internet.
As he pointed out @OnTheDownLoTho in the following tweet, it appears in the company’s credits section 2020, only there for everyone to see:
If you look around the rest of the website, you’ll also see some games with a confusing name, potentially just project code names ifU-King – Zelda‘as of 2017 everything is left (which was supposedly the development name of Breath of the Wild). Alan Wake, which is rumored to return to the next Remedy game, gets a mention along with Remedy Final Fantasy IV.
Additional research can make you run for your skin and grab yourself a little. You will find the game mentioned again on the About Business page, although it has a key art of Sonic Boom instead of Colors. At this point it is impossible to know if it is simply a random error or if someone has missed something. Still, of all the 3D Sonics of the last twenty years, Sonic Colors (or Colors, if you prefer) is up there with the best of them.
