Georgia is the fourth state to pause the Johnson & Johnson vaccine

A coronavirus vaccine site in Georgia became the fourth U.S. location this week to pause the administration of jab Johnson & Johnson after concerns about possible adverse reactions, according to a report.

Eight people experienced dizziness after receiving the shot Wednesday at the Cumming Fairgrounds, although health officials believe this could have been caused simply by the hot weather, WSB-TV reported.

“It was a fainting problem,” North Georgia Health District spokesman Dave Palmer said at the exit.

“We don’t think it has anything to do with the vaccine. They are probably more environmental factors, ”said Palmer.

Less than 2% of the 435 people who received the vaccine at the site experienced adverse reactions.

“This facility is hard to cool off and we have fans here, but it was a warmer day,” Palmer told the station. “I think the heat may have influenced it. We are not sure. “

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine also stopped last week in places in Colorado, North Carolina and Iowa.
