Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson continues to fuel speculation of interest in a presidential race in the United States.
Earlier this week, a poll found that 46% of Americans would like the actor to run for president.
Johnson shared a message on his social media in which he refers to the poll and expresses that he may not be the most traditional candidate, but it is something he keeps in mind.
“I’m not sure our founding fathers would have imagined a guy with six (feet) four (inches), bald, tattooed, half black, half Samoan, drinking tequila, driving a pickup truck, with a wallet at his waist, who I joined his club, but if it ever happens, it would be an honor for me to serve you guys, ”he wrote next to a picture of the article published by Newsweek.
The poll, which shows nearly half of Americans think The Rock could consider an opportunity for a presidential career, came after the former professional wrestler stated he was thinking of running.
In 2017, the star of Fast and furious i Jumanji he said he was “seriously considering” running for the White House.
In February, he said the possibility is still swirling in his head. “I would consider a presidential career in the future if that’s what people want,” he then told USA Today. “I really mean it, and I’m not frivolous in any way with my answer. That would depend on people … So I would wait and listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear on the ground.”
In September, Johnson backed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in what was the first time he publicly backed a presidential candidacy.
