A 14-year-old stabbed Wahooz, the entire building was evacuated

The stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in the Wahooz family fun area has led to the evacuation of the building.

According to a press release from Wahooz, an argument broke out between two groups of young adults around 6:30 p.m.

The Meridian police department says a young man was stabbed by a suspicious unknown man and more details are currently being investigated. The 14-year-old boy was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries.

As of Saturday evening, there were three ambulances at the scene, along with two fire trucks and several police units.

Wahooz says the safety of staff and guests was not compromised at any time and that the Wahooz family fun area remains open.

The Meridian police department said in a press release that it was asking for help from the public to identify the suspected unknown man. The Meridian police department says all that is known so far is that the suspect was wearing a black shirt and was driving west on Overland Road in a dark-colored BMW with plates from Canyon County.
