Elon Musk’s latest tweet showing a monkey playing a game with his mind has sparked a lot of reactions on social media.
Upon arriving at the microblogging website, the Tesla CEO retweeted a Neuralink post along with a caption that read, “Monkey plays Pong with his mind.” He explained, “A monkey literally plays a video game telepathically with a brain chip.”
Originally shared by Neuralink, the 3.27-minute clip includes Pager, a nine-year-old Macaque who uses a joystick to play on the computer screen. However, moments later, when the joystick is disconnected, the monkey can continue to play with his mind.
Look at him video here:
Musk’s startup is developing a wireless, fully implanted brain-machine interface (BMI) that would allow people with paralysis to directly use their neural activity to operate multiple devices with ease. A video Neuralink was implanted in the video monkey weeks before the experiment was performed.
In the experiment, the monkey not only plays with his mind, but can also adapt to it as the difficulty level increases. The clip concludes with the monkey reward with a banana.
Since it was shared online, the post has created a buzz with many impressed by the experiment. However, many were also reminded of the popular science fiction film The planet of the apes.

do you get more banana smoothie if you play the game correctly? I watched the video and I’m not sure how he knows how to play the game in the first place.
