Puerto Rico Police Negotiated Commissioner Antonio Lopez reacted to the video where an officer is caught serving the patrol speaker to say xenophobic comments and insult a tourist in County.
In an interview with WKAQ, the official indicated that an investigation has already begun into what has happened and assured that he does not agree with this behavior.
“We respect all people who come to Puerto Rico, regardless of nationality,” he stated in the interview.
According to López, this agent is exposed to 40 days of suspension or until the expulsion of the Uniformed.
In the video where the situation was recorded, a person is heard responding that it was 8:00 pm, at which point the officer got upset and started responding.
“Don’t be funny moron, come back to your country to make these comments,” the uniformed man commented from inside the patrol. However, the agent did not stop and continued, “there is always one who comes from another country to give comments assholes and does not even hold 1 Slap. Mexican pend …”.
