Prince Harry meets with Eugenie before the funeral of Prince Philip

Prince Harry reunited with his cousin Princess Eugenie after flying home to the UK for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip, Page Six has confirmed.

Eugenie, 31, is the first member of the British royal family to see Harry, 36, in more than a year since he, his wife, Meghan Markle and their son, Archie, left the their royal papers and moved to California.

The princess currently lives in Frogmore Cottage, the UK home of Harry and Meghan, alongside her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their newborn son, August.

It is the first time Harry has met his first cousin who was retired, who was born in February and has the second name Philip, making a gesture with his great-grandfather.

It is not yet known if Harry will also meet the newborn son of his cousin Zara Tindall, Lucas, who was born last month and also received his middle name from the late Duke.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex offered Frogmore, which is on the grounds of Queen Elizabeth II’s Windsor estate, when Eugenie and Brooksbank, 31, found out they were waiting.

Then a source told us: “It is fully equipped for a new family and a new baby. It’s still Meghan and Harry’s UK residence, they’ll still be there when they return, but they’re thrilled to be able to open their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack when they start their own family. “

Harry and Markle renewed Frogmore for about $ 3 million in taxpayer funds, although they have announced plans to reimburse the cost in Britain.

The couple lived in the house for less than six months before moving to Canada and then to Montecito, California.

Harry flew at Heathrow Airport in London on Sunday and is currently quarantining Frogmore according to UK rules ahead of Philip’s funeral on Saturday.

Markle, very pregnant, expecting a baby girl in early summer, has been forced to stay home in the United States after receiving medical advice, despite wanting to join her husband, as we revealed.

All eyes will be on Harry and his older brother, Prince William, on Saturday as they are seen together in public for the first time since Commonwealth service in March last year, days before Harry and Markle , aged 39, left the UK.

Their meeting will take place following Harry and Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in February, during which the “Suits” student insisted that William’s wife, Kate Middleton, had made him cry during a dress of bridesmaid before her May 2018 wedding.

The couple also filed allegations of racism in the royal family and Harry said he believed his father, Prince Charles and William, 38, were “trapped” within their royal roles.

On Sunday, former British Prime Minister Sir John Major told the BBC that the funeral would be the perfect time to end the family break-up.

Major, who was appointed special guardian of the princes after his mother, Princess Diana, died in 1997, told the BBC One’s “Andrew Marr Show”: “The friction we were told is a better friction that ends as quickly as possible. ”

And he added: “They shared emotion. They share grief at present due to the death of their grandfather. I think [this] it is an ideal opportunity. I very much hope that it will be possible to repair any cracks that may exist. “

Philip died Friday at the age of 99.
