The leading manufacturer of Polaris SUVs is booming and becoming electric

Polaris is one of the most important names in the world in snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, all-terrain vehicles and other recreational vehicles.

During the coronavirus pandemic, sales have grown despite logistical and supply chain problems.

The company also formed a partnership with the all-electric Zero Motorcycles brand, which will allow Polaris to use Zero technology in Polaris off-road vehicles. Analysts say the deal will reduce the cost of developing electric vehicles (which are expensive), while expanding Polaris ’customer base and attracting new groups of investors passionate about electric vehicles and their market potential.

Many experts in the automotive world industry still think that the future all-electric car executives they talk about are still several years away. Perhaps this could be even more true for the RV segments where Polaris plays.

Problems related to scope and charging time that prevent some buyers from purchasing electric cars, trucks, and SUVs can be even more important for those driving off-road in remote areas where electrical connections are hard to find.

But electric snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles are attractive to customers. One reason: they are silent. An electric snowmobile or one next to the other is less likely to scare the cattle on a farm or the wildlife of a forest.

This is something many Polaris customers say they could use.

If this proves true, electric technology could be another way for Polaris to stay on top of some of the successes it has experienced in recent years.
