The government of United States continues the process against the former secretary of public security, Genaro García Luna and his alleged accomplices Ramon Petit García and Luis Cárdenas Palomino.
MILLENNIUM obtained the document through which on March 1 U.S. prosecutors sent Judge Brian M. Cogan of the Eastern District Attorney’s Office to New York, the complementary discovery of evidence, which they collected, against these three former security commands so far, which would reveal the participation of these former officials in a drug trafficking network in Mexico.
However, while in this country justice seeks them and investigates their collusion with the Sinaloa cartel, en Mexico they continue to protect themselves and demand the unlocking of their bank accounts from liberty.
Since July last year the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) Blocked the accounts of former police commanders, when the government of States Oneanats he accused them of protecting and conspiring to traffic drugs for the Sinaloa cartel.
However, both Cárdenas Palomino, who was head of the Security Division of the Federal Police and Petit García, also part of the intelligence division of the same unit, are now seeking the protection of Mexican justice.
Through the page of the Council of the Federal Judiciary (CJF) you can read that just on March 24 this year the first processed a complaint against the Securities Banking Commission for having denied access to their accounts in different banks in the country.
The Judiciary admitted the complaint through the magistrate, Pablo Domínguez Pelegrina, of the First Circuit based in Mexico City. The case has started again.
For its part, on March 18 the trial of protection promoted by Ramon Petit García in 2020 was resumed, for the inclusion in the list of blocked people and immobilization of bank accounts in BBVA, Bancomer, also in the First Circuit of the Mexico City.
Both are looking to fully unlock their bank accounts in Mexico this 2021.
