Hollis says De Vincent Spriggs, who is the man in the photo, is filing criminal charges against Donald for an alleged assault during the nights of last weekend, April 10-11. He allegedly spent between 3-4 in the morning at an afternoon club on the south side of town.

Just before noon, Hollis and Spriggs, 26, arrived at the Pittsburgh 3 police station station in Arlington to file charges against Donald.

Hollis said Donald allegedly beat Spriggs, who was later treated and released at a local hospital. He asks police to conduct a full investigation into the incident.

Hollis identified Spriggs as out of town, but declined to say where.

Spriggs, who has his arm in a sling, a swollen right eye and visible stitches, had little to say.

Andy Sheehan from KDKA: “Was he assaulted, sir?”
Spriggs: “Yes, I was.”
Sheehan: “Didn’t that cause it?”
Hollis: “It simply came to our notice then. I told him not to comment, but as seen from his arm in a sling, he has his eye closed, 16 stitches in his eye and a concussion and other serious injuries he has suffered, it is ‘a serious incident. ”

Donald, 29, was named Defensive Player of the Year this season.

He played at the University of Pittsburgh before being signed by the Rams in 2014.

In 2019, Donald made a seven-figure donation to the University of Pittsburgh.

Later that year, Pitt Athletics unveiled the Aaron Donald Football Performance Center, with new signage outside the weight room from the training grounds, as well as the main entrance to the facility.

Donald played at Penn Hills High School.

Andy Sheehan, of KDKA, works to obtain a statement or response from Donald and / or his representatives.
