Tallahassee, FL – Florida Athletics Director David Coburn and Seminole Boosters President and CEO Michael Alford on Wednesday released new performances for a new football operations building for the U.S. Football League. state of Florida.
“The response from our fans throughout the unconquered campaign shows their commitment to the state of Florida and our athletics program,” Coburn said. “We need these additional facilities to adequately meet the needs of our football program and to allow us to expand the existing shared areas at the Moore Athletic Center and improve our ability to support all of our sports. I know we will find, such as we did when we built the Dunlap Athletic Training Center, that these facility improvements have a big impact in general ”.

The $ 100 million campaign began to fund a new football facility, student-athlete grants, a redesign of the Seminole Golf Course by the Jack Nicklaus Legacy team, infrastructure improvements and innovations at Dick Howser Stadium and the Tucker Center, along with additional projects. .
“We have recently met the $ 100 million pledge goal of the Unconquered Campaign and will continue to raise funds to achieve all of our goals,” Alford said.
“We are receiving a great response from our benefactors, including many commitments to the project of the new football facility. In our discussions, they are excited about the vision and direction of the athletic department and Seminole Boosters. “

“Ultimately, this facility will accommodate programs that will help our student-athletes and teams succeed. The 20 programs will benefit from this project and we are happy to help make it possible in collaboration with our fans.
The football facilities project will continue to be privately funded through donations made to Seminole Boosters, complemented by new revenue streams linked to the recently announced infrastructure and seating concepts at Doak Campbell Stadium. More than $ 43 million has already been raised through the Unconquered Campaign.
“The new home of our football program will allow us to expand the spaces at the Moore Athletic Center for academic services, sports medicine, dining and strength and conditioning that all of our sports share,” Coburn said. “It will be a dramatic improvement for all of our support efforts, which have a direct impact on the experience of our world-class student-athletes.”
Moore Athletic Center’s renovation plans will more than double the current acreage of the academic support unit, as well as expanding dining areas and primary sports medicine and strength and conditioning facilities shared by 20 FSU sports.
