Arcade Fire has shared a new original 45-minute piece of music called “Memories of the Age of Anxiety.” Music is available in the Headspace Meditation and Sleep app; promises “meditative vibrations that will help you concentrate and feel inspired.”
The band’s last album was in 2017 Everything now. Last year a new Arcade Fire album was promised when Win Butler said work was “flowing” into a new album in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic blockade. The band performed a new song called “Generation A” in Stephen Colbert’s 2020 special election.
Everything now—Containing “Creature Comfort,” “Signs of Life,” and the main theme — it was promoted with free cereal boxes and fake news articles. They later recorded a rendition of a 1941 Disney song for the 2019 Tim Burton film Dumbo.
