The CNN reporter confronts the pastor pushing the Covid-19 conspiracy

A CNN report focused on the increase in hesitant hesitation Tony Spell and the Church of the Tabernacle of Life, confronting the pastor for his opposition to the vaccines and conspiracies he has been pushing about the pandemic.

Spell came out in the headlines earlier this year, when he was broadcast live under house arrest when he refused to close the church during the closure of Covid-19.

CNN correspondent Elle Reeve He traveled to Baton Rouge and faced Spell in much of what he had defended.

“I’d rather die free than live on my knees,” Spell said.

“How do you live on your knees getting a vaccine?” Reeve asked.

“Because you’re leaning against your convictions,” Spell replied.

The conversation continued with Spell pushing a conspiracy about the virus:

REEVE: If I broke your arm or something, would you go to the doctor?

SPELLING: Of course, I would go to the doctor and prepare it and bring a cast.

REEVE: So at some level, trust some doctors.

SPELLING: Yes, yes.

REEVE: So can you explain where the line is?

SPELLING: The line is in this vaccine. Number one, the virus has been a scam from the beginning. He has always been politically motivated by email, ballots and voter identification. This is what a new administration in the White House has today.

In addition, Spell said he promoted that God would protect his congregants.

Reeve also noted that several people began going to the tabernacle church of life after seeing Spell arrested for the news. One of those congregants said the vaccine is “Bill Gates and them trying to kill us. “

Reeve asked Spell about his diverse congregation and why he would not encourage people of color to take COVID-19 precautions when they are at greater statistical risk. Spell said, “Not only do I encourage him, I discourage him,” and went on to say that he did not know any congregants who would succeed.

Reeve accused Spell of taking a political stand, but Spell responded by saying, “He is not a politician at all. I’m not a politician, I’m a prophet. “
