Soccer player Antonio de Jesús López was unable to conclude the match between Club América and Olimpia de Honduras due to a fibula fracture that he suffered in the match that was played on Wednesday night at the Estadio Azteca after a sweep of Yustin Arbreda that caused the injury.
This Thursday, it has been confirmed that ‘Chucho’ López he suffered a “Weber type C ankle fracture and deltoid ligament injury. The recovery time is 3 to 4 months according to his evolution.” With that, the 23-year-old is missing the rest of the season with the Mexican team, as well as the June clashes in the World Cup qualifier with the Guatemala National Team and the preliminary Round of the Gold Cup in July.

After confirming the severity of the injury, players from Club America and the National Team of Guatemala expressed their solidarity with the player through messages on social media.
