Players of America and Selection of Guatemala show solidarity with ‘Chucho’ López

The Club América footballer will be out for three to three months due to a fibula fracture he suffered in the match between America and Olimpia for the CONCACAF Champions League

Soccer player Antonio de Jesús López was unable to conclude the match between Club América and Olimpia de Honduras due to a fibula fracture that he suffered in the match that was played on Wednesday night at the Estadio Azteca after a sweep of Yustin Arbreda that caused the injury.

This Thursday, it has been confirmed that ‘Chucho’ López he suffered a “Weber type C ankle fracture and deltoid ligament injury. The recovery time is 3 to 4 months according to his evolution.” With that, the 23-year-old is missing the rest of the season with the Mexican team, as well as the June clashes in the World Cup qualifier with the Guatemala National Team and the preliminary Round of the Gold Cup in July.

After confirming the severity of the injury, players from Club America and the National Team of Guatemala expressed their solidarity with the player through messages on social media.

Young Dos Santos

The Mexican footballer used his Instagram account to support Jesús López. “God is with you brother, you will become stronger #FuerzaChucho” was the message he posted with the image of ‘Chucho’ López wearing the uniform of the Mexican team during a training session.

Roger Martinez

The Colombian striker showed his solidarity with his teammate. “Strong Chuchin, God raise you @ jesus_lopez97,” the striker shared on his Instagram profile next to the image of the match against Olympia for the CONCACAF Champions League.

Ricardo Jerez

The Guatemalan goalkeeper who militates in Aliança Petroliera also shared a message of support for Jesús López. “Pretty Chucho bastard, we’re with you. Recover soon so that next door we can get the dream,” wrote the goalkeeper of the Guatemala National Team.
