There have been 1,296,381 cases of COVID in total, including 21,630 deaths in the state since the pandemic began.
Illinois, Indiana, to stop the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after reporting blood clots
As of Thursday night, 2,058 patients in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of these, 468 patients were in the ICU and 205 patients with COVID-19 with ventilators.
In the last 24 hours, laboratories have reported testing 93,602 specimens for a total of 21,571,023 since the pandemic began.

The state’s seven-day preliminary positivity test April 9-15 is 4.9%.

A total of 9,777,825 doses of vaccine have been administered to Illinois suppliers, including Chicago.
A total of 7,779,290 vaccines were administered in Illinois on Thursday night. The rotating average of seven days of vaccines administered daily is 129,664 doses. 166,885 doses were reported to have been administered in Illinois on Thursday.
There are 10,000 COVID-19 vaccines available on Friday
Cook County Health will release 10,000 first-dose COVID-19 vaccines on Friday.
Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available by appointment Friday at noon, according to Cook County Health.
Appointments will be available to anyone 16 years of age or older, according to the agency.
Sixteen- and 17-year-olds must register at a Pfizer site and be accompanied by a father of the guardian, health officials said. The Pfizer vaccine is the only approved dose for all children under 18 years of age.
Appointments can be scheduled at 833-308-1988 or vaccine.cookcountyil.gov.

– Cook County: 1 40-year-old man, 2 70-year-old men, 2 80-year-old men
– DuPage County; 1 female 50 years, 1 male 90 years
– Henry County: 1 woman of 80 years, 1 woman of 90 years
– Jefferson County: 1 woman 90
– Kane County: 1 man from the 70s, 1 woman from the 90s
– Lake County: 1 woman aged 70, 1 man aged 80
– LaSalle County: 1 man from the 70s
– Madison County: 1 woman 90
– McDonough County: 1 man from the 80s
– Tazewell County: 1 40-year-old man, 1 50-year-old man
– Will County: 1 man of 60 years
