Government celebrates that Puerto Rico is fifth in vaccination worldwide

Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia, celebrated tonight that data from the Financial Times, will be located in Puerto Rico as the fifth in the world in vaccine administration.

“The effort pays off. We are 5th in the world in vaccine administration. We continue to move forward in our battle against COVID-19. Let’s go to Puerto Rico!” Pierluisi wrote on networks.

This digital board, published in the middle, positions all countries according to the number of doses of vaccines supplied and obtains their data from the University of Oxford, the World Health Organization and national data from other countries.

The governor’s celebration was joined by Health Secretary Carlos Mellado, who assured that the position “is the result of teamwork. The commitment remains firm, we will continue to vaccinate all of Puerto Rico.”

The table indicates that in Puerto Rico 18% of the population is fully vaccinated, which puts us above European or South American countries.

In the top positions are Israel, Bahrain, Chile and the United States.
