At least four of the victims were members of the Sikh community, the Sikh Coalition said Friday.

The names of the people who were injured in the attack have not been released.

Four people were taken to hospitals, one in critical condition with gunshot wounds, officials said. Several others were treated at the scene or walked to nearby hospitals with multiple injuries.

At least 100 people were at the facility when shots exploded around 11 p.m., officials said.

According to police, the gunman, identified as a former FedEx employee, Brandon Scott Hole, ended his life after being confronted by police.

Hole was questioned by the FBI last year after her mother told police she was worried she might attempt suicide by a police officer, federals said.

Amarjeet Johal, 66, was also killed during the FedEx facility in Indianapolis.
Amarjeet Johal, 66, was one of the victims of the Indianapolis FedEx facility that was shot on April 15, 2021.

His motive is still unclear.

“I am heartbroken to confirm that my naniji (maternal grandmother), Amarjeet Kaur Johal, is one of the people killed in the senseless shooting at FedEx facilities in Indianapolis,” Komal Chohan said, according to the Sikh Coalition.

“I have several family members who work at the facility in particular and are traumatized. My nanny, my family and our families should not feel insecure at work, in their place of worship or anywhere else, ”Chohan continued.

“It’s enough: our community has suffered enough trauma.”
