Chelsea Green sat down for an hour-long interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, and the current WWE superstar spoke at length about her creative night plans for the company.
Like many other wrestlers working for the WWE, Chelsea Green’s career suffered from a lack of plot direction along with the skill to catch premature injuries.
Chelsea Green revealed that their original WWE call-up took place in 2019, but it was not the full-fledged call most stars receive.
Green considered that there could have been poor communication between NXT and the top officials on the WWE list, as he soon returned to the Black and Gold brand. Green recalled teaming up with Charlotte Flair for a WWE NXT team match in May 2020 against Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley.
“So they originally called me in December 2019. But it was a weird call. It was a bad communication, maybe between NXT and the main list. They called me, but yeah, but no. Then I was on TV at NXT, which I really liked, you know obviously I wanted them to call me, but no one had made them official, so calling me on TV was amazing, and then Triple H pulled me away from the April or May 2020, just before the pandemic, or at that time, because we had just played a game. Charlotte and I against Io and Rhea, and that was the day I was officially called. “
I don’t know if you can get a better place than this: Chelsea Green on Charlotte Flair as a WWE mentor

Chelsea Green and Charlotte Flair got the win that night and Green considered that the WWE had legitimate plans to make her Flair’s protégé.
Charlotte Flair raised Green’s arm after the match and the former TNA / IMPACT Wrestling star believed The Queen supported her as the next big thing.
