President Luis Abinader traveled to Madrid, Spain on Saturday night, where he will meet with King Felipe VI, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez Pérez and former presidents José María Aznar and Felipe González, before participating in the Summit of Ibero-American Heads of State in Andorra.
This second trip of the president, after assuming the presidency of the country, took place at 9:50 pm this Saturday on Air Europa flight 088.
The president was accompanied before his departure by Vice President Raquel Peña, who remains in office of the Dominican Executive.
According to information provided by the Presidency of the Republic, Abinader will also meet with business groups and hold a luncheon breakfast with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Zurab Pololikashviliha.
Abinader will be received by the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the Kingdom of Spain, Juan Bolívar Díaz and the Director of State and Protocol Ceremonial, Ambassador Francisco Cantizano Nadal.
At the hotel where President Luis Abinader will be staying in Madrid, he will have a meeting with the former President of the Government of Spain, Felipe González, scheduled for one in the afternoon, the same day of his arrival. .
An hour later, he will meet at a private luncheon with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Zurab Pololikashviliha.
Later, the Dominican president will chair a meeting with leaders of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) living in Spain.
At six in the afternoon, he will meet with the former President of the Spanish Government, José María Aznar, and at eight in the evening he will take part in a dinner with prominent personalities from the Dominican community in Spain.
On Monday 19, President Abinader will attend the first business meeting organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic in Spain and the Business Council Alliance for Latin America (CEAPI), in the Sala Borges of the Casa de América.
