The company LUV by Fresh Directions, which is the American registry of the MACAPI Group, won first place in the Southern Exposure 2021 organized by the prestigious Southeast Produce Council and brings together most of the U.S. fruit and vegetable processing, importing, and packaging companies.
The firm presented its extensive line ranging from fresh produce; Avocados Hass & Tropical, in its retail line of guacamole and fruit pulp, at the event held in Orlando, Florida.
With an intricately woven brand strategy around the idea of “Let the LUU accompany you,” viewers were drawn to the site’s cheerful music and pitahaya lemonade display. “Where can I find this? I need this drink in my life,” many said, amazed at the rich flavor and freshness of LUV beverage pitahaya pulp and lemonade.
“Baby pin Yoda holding LUV’s Hass avocado badge was the expo’s favorite theme. It’s no wonder, of course, that LUV was awarded the number one prize at the best-decorated stand,” they point out.
The Castell Lora family (MACAPI Group) has been growing avocados and exporting them all over the world for more than 30 years. Fresh Directions is the importer of avocado and fruit products from the Macapi Group based in Miami, Florida.
Manuel and Sabrina Castillo, two of the five brothers of the Castillo family, manage all operations in the United States by bringing Hass avocados to the American market.
