It's not much, but after Celeste I'm all there.

Not much, but then Celeste, I’m all inside.

The studio behind the indie face Celeste, Extremely OK Games, based in Vancouver, is finally ready to present its next game, Earthblade.

While developers admit his blog post is more of a “vibrating revelation” than a full ad, there are many things to get excited about, in part because of the genealogy of the studio. Earthblade is described as a “2D explorer action game in a seamless pixel art world” with music by the inimitable Lena Raine, who in my humble opinion composed one of the best soundtracks in games per Celeste. You can listen to an excerpt from his work Earthblade low.

“It took us four prototypes to find them Earthblade, and now more than three years have passed since then Celeste“The initial release,” wrote Maddy Thorson, director of Extremely OK Games, about the development of the next game. “[The] the prototypes taught us a lot, but ultimately we ventured too far out of our comfort zone for them to really end. It took a while, but we think we’ve noticed the right compromise between the two of us Earthblade“.

Extremely OK Games plans to release it Earthblade sometime between now and the end of the 21st century. Stay tuned as well.
