Let’s hear it for “Death Chains,” Outriders ’best weapon modifier

Like any booty shooter, Outriders it is based on chance. But you can dodge luck by relying on the game’s complex network of gear modifications, many of which can significantly change the behavior of your weapons and armor. Most are good, but none compare to Death Chains, a two-tier weapon modification that, and this is putting it lightly, kicks everything.

Basically, Death Chains amplifies the bullets to cause additional damage over three seconds. (On a level 24 weapon, it deals 1,564 damage. At level 28, that number jumps to 3,751.) The modification has a reuse time of two seconds, which means you can eliminate additional damage before the damage is completed. previous three seconds of additional damage. .

If you are lucky enough to find a weapon with Death Chains, do not place any other modifications on it. Instead, disassemble this gun immediately, which will add Death Chains to your compendium of usable modifications, so you can use it for the rest of your life. Trust me – you’re lucky if you only find Death Chains once. It’s too powerful and versatile to pass up the opportunity to add it to your edit library.

Death Chains works well for sniper rifles and other long-range weapons; even if you miss a shot to the head, you will still end up causing significant damage. If your shotgun doesn’t kill an enemy in an explosion, Death Chains is likely to take it the rest of the way. You can probably imagine how effective it is with SMGs, LMGs, assault rifles and other automatic weapons. Personally, I have found it to be terribly efficient with guns, as each shot aligns with the mod’s cooling time.

Death Chains work in virtually any situation. When you manage a large crowd, you can shoot everyone once, dodge and wait a few seconds for everyone to die. During boss fights, repair the exponential damage. There was a player-to-player mode Outriders, you better bet that Death Chains would be banned (or given) game update history, most likely nerfat).

Unfortunately, Death Chains isn’t exactly a common mod – I’ve only found it with one of mine three characters. And even with this character, Death Chains has only appeared once as an organic result of Outriders‘generation of random numbers. To get it to the rest of my weapons, and make no mistake, it is activated all of the rest of my weapons: I had to modify them every time. Periodically I will find weapons with, for example, freezer bullets or with this Essence Thief mod. (Side note: Why does each weapon come with Essence Thief? That’s enough!) Meanwhile, Death Chains continues to elude.

Think this means that only one of my three characters has death chains, but there is an easy solution. Once you find a pistol equipped with Death Chains while playing as a single character, disassemble it and apply it to a pile of lower level weapons and drop them in the reserved place. From here, you can visit your game with any other character, take out one of these weapons, and disassemble it. The modification will also definitely be in this character’s library.

This solution works for any modifications you may find. Contrary to what will make you believe the relentless looting task of the game, you really only have to find a modification with one of your characters, as long as you are willing to introduce these additional steps.
