Former Michigan quarterback Joe Milton plans to move to Tennessee, sources told ESPN Monday.
Milton entered the transfer portal in February and is scheduled to graduate in May, which would make him eligible to play in the Flights this season.
The Flights are looking for an starting quarterback as they move on to first-year offensive tackle from freshman coach Josh Heupel. Milton started Michigan in 2020. On five outings, he passed 1,077 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions, but was substituted in Michigan’s last game a year ago.
Milton, 6 feet 5, 243 pounds, will have three years of eligibility left, and appears as an active student in the Tennessee student directory. He is well on his way to starting his academic studies in Tennessee with the summer semester.
Volquest.com was the first to report the imminent transfer of Milton to Tennessee.
