The new Apple Leak reveals the iPhone 13 Design Shock

Apple is making several significant design changes with its iPhone 13 models before an earlier version of 2021, but now we know what the new really massive upgrade of the range will be.

In a new video, popular YouTuber Filip Koroy, also known as EverythingApplePro, has revealed designs of CAD designs for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro showing that Apple is introducing new massive rear cameras to the lineup. In fact, Koroy describes them as “very strange” and as a “massive increase in size.”

Update 19/04: A new report from superstar Apple Ming-Chi Kuo (via AppleInsider) has revealed new updates to the iPhone 13 today. Kuo claims that the file next generation 5G modems within the range will offer global support for the ultra-fast 5G mmWave specification. The iPhone 12 line surprised many with its lack of support for mmWave outside the United States, as did many cheaper phones (like Google’s Pixel 5). What Kuo did not reveal was whether this expanded mmWave support will reach the full range or be limited to the iPhone 13 Pro models. mmWave is hungry for the battery, which makes it a doubt for the iPhone 13 Mini and this in turn can affect the iPhone 13 because Apple likes the phones to be functionally identical. Take a look at this space.

While the above and below images best illustrate this change, Koroy also has specific measures. “On the iPhone 13 Pro Max we have a 3.41mm higher lens and [it is] it is now 4.81 mm wider, more like a rounded square than the 12 Pro Max “.

This is a similar change for the dual cameras of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, with Koroy also confirming the new diagonal camera layout that was leaked earlier this week. The changes mark the start of a new trend toward large smartphone cameras following the launch earlier this month of Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra.

On top of that, Koroy also notes that the other big design change in the iPhone 13 range: “These CADs confirm a smaller notch because they have a smaller headset that sits on top.” While the new oscillation is only about 30% smaller than the current one seen from the iPhone X, it is very welcome and (possibly) late.

Other Koroy notebooks include a “confirmation” that the SIM card tray will now be integrated with the logic board to save space while the volume buttons and mute switch have “migrated north by 2-3mm”. The new iPhone 13 models will also be almost the same size as their predecessors, but the old cases do not fit due to the resizing of the camera.

While previous leaks have revealed that next-generation Apple iPhones will feature 120Hz ProMotion displays, next-generation 5G modems, improved WiFi speed and range, an improved version of MagSafe, and significantly improved energy efficiency, no there is no doubt that their new cameras the biggest point of conversation.

Combined with previously leaked improvements to image stabilization and an exciting new portrait video mode, hopes will be high, the iPhone 13 line will once again be at the top of the camera rankings. The good news is twofold: 1. We won’t have to wait long to find out and 2. From there, Apple plans “next-level” updates.
