In addition to the banners of Reds fans at Anfield, players and former footballers have used their networks to show dissatisfaction
A group of Liverpool fans protested against the European Super League and placed banners on the outskirts of Anfield Stadium to show their outrage that the ‘Reds’ have decided to take part in the new competition that brings together some of the most powerful clubs in the world.
Following the official announcement of the creation of the Super League last Sunday, Liverpool fans met on Monday at the home of the team led by Jürgen Klopp and hung two blankets on which read messages disapproving of the event. The Twitter account, ‘The Redmen TV’, was in charge of sharing the images of English fans.
One of the banners read “LFC fans are against the European Super League” and another of the blankets stressed that they feel “ashamed” of the institution and hinted that the club’s history is ended after his controversial decision to participate in the exclusive contest.

“This so-called“ Super League ”is anything but“ Super. ”This greedy, insensitive move would mean a disaster for our grassroots football, for women’s football, and for the football community at large just to serve the interested owners, who left to worry about his fans for a long time, and a total indifference to sporting merit. Tragic “.

“The most powerful are for what they produce and summon but the rest are indispensable. What gives health to the competition is the possibility of the development of the weak and not the overgrowth of the strong but the logic that prevails in the world, and football is not out of it, it’s that the powerful are richer at the expense of the rest being poorer, ”Leeds coach Bielsa told Sky Sports.
