They confiscated more than 500 kilos of cake, arsenal and ten packages of money

San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Agents from specialized units of the National Police yesterday confiscated 23 bundles of cocaine and an arsenal in an assent to two houses in the village of Parma de Sonaguera, Colón.

The action was carried out in a combined manner by agents of the National Anti-Drug Police Directorate, the National Directorate of Border Police Services and National Management of Special Forces.

Authorities reported that in the search of the property they found the item of the drug, 20 short and long range guns, 10 packets of money, 12 magazines for different weapons, three bags with ammunition and a pick-up.

It was reported that among the seized weapons there are seven rifles and 13 pistols. The money that is in the ten packages is mostly dollars. According to the report, there are more than 500 kilos of cocaine in the packages.

Drugs, money and weapons were hidden in coves they made inside two homes. All the confiscated was transferred to Tegucigalpa where the cocaine and money will be counted.

Police investigations establish that the drugs, money and confiscated weapons were from a criminal structure with links in South America, Central America, Mexico and the United States.

In another operation they carried out on the road leading from San Pedro Sula to La Entrada, Copán, to the place known as Los Cellars effective of the National Anti-Drug Police Directorate required a gray pick-up. It was reported that while conducting the search in the car they found a hidden compartment near the fuel tank where they found 28 kilos of cocaine.

The driver of the car who was identified as Óscar Murcia was arrested.

Investigators proceeded to pack the collected evidence and then forwarded it to a forensic toxicology lab for analysis and opinion.
The captured man was placed under the command of the prosecution authorities.
