Disney removes the ‘FastPass’ system by rows from the parks

Disney announced today, Wednesday, that it will permanently withdraw its iconic FastPass and MaxPass programs at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resot parks.

The company will release its new application Disney Genie, a free itinerary tool that will allow visitors to create their calendar and wait less time online.

On the other hand, they are expected to introduce a “Lightning Lane”, which would have more restrictions but would be the closest to the FastPass that allowed skipping long lines for attractions.

Disney will also offer the version Genie + for a fixed fee that will allow people to have access to attractions ’waiting times and reserve their space.

The new service will cost $ 15 per ticket per day at Walt Disney World and $ 20 per ticket per day at Disneyland Resort.

Guests can choose one attraction at a time and select the next arrival window available for the Lightning Lane entrance.
