The new Royal Caribbean ship goes out to sea tests – Cruise industry news

Wonder of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International’s new Wonder of the Seas has been tested at sea from Chantiers de l’Atlantique, where it is under construction.

The Oasis-class ship will spend a few days at sea, testing systems and performance with shipyard equipment, suppliers, class society and other stakeholders on board.

Launched earlier this year, the Wonder will enter the cruise market in 2022 and become the world’s largest cruise ship and the fifth Oasis-class ship in service after the Oasis, Allure, Harmony and Symphony of the Seas.

The ship is being deployed in China and will be the first Oasis-class ship to sail to Asia. It could hit the market as early as the spring of 2022 if these plans are maintained.
