Taliban avenging fighters set fire to a young woman in northern Afghanistan this week, a women’s rights activist said as news of the terrorist group’s atrocities slowly spreads from the shattered country.
The woman was “burned because she was accused of poor cooking for Taliban fighters,” Najla Ayoubi, a former Afghan judge, told Sky News on Friday.
“They are forcing people to feed them and cook them,” Ayoubi said. “There are also so many young women in recent weeks sent to coffins in neighboring countries to be used as sex slaves.”
Ayoubi, who lives in exile in the United States, said he is collecting reports of beatings, whips and other violent attacks on women by “thousands and hundreds of my fellow activists on the ground in Afghanistan,” many of them now hidden.
