The Miami Dolphins are ready to start their second preseason contest of the 2021 season. With the game just around the corner, the Dolphins are putting an end to which players will be active participants and who will stay for the best of your health. The expected list of inactive is extensive for Miami, and includes half of the team’s spacious reception room, amid concerns about persistent injury issues that could bleed during the regular season if not treated properly here and now.
Here are the inactivities expected for the Dolphins tonight against the Falcons:
- WR Albert Wilson
- WR Will Fuller V
- WR Lynn Bowden Jr.
- WR DeVante Parker
- WR Preston Williams
- WR Isaiah Ford
- SAF Jevon Holland
- SAF Brandon Jones
- CB Javaris Davis
- LB Vince Biegel
- LB Elandon Roberts
- OT Adam Pankey
- TE Cethan Carter

Ultimately, there aren’t too many surprises on the inactive list based on how last week’s internship in Miami went. The fact that the Netherlands is being held back is the only decision that stands out as an unexpected decision.
The good news for Miami on the big picture is that most of the players who are out of the game are in the process of preparing and many are expected to return in time for the start of the season. Parker, Wilson and Fuller have been consistently grateful, but tend toward a healthy return to start the season. Williams and Roberts were activated off the PUP list earlier this week and are slowly being weaned back into action. Carter suffered a knee sprain against the Bears last weekend, but is not expected to waste significant time.
The biggest impact for Miami tonight will be the way Tua Tagovailoa handles the test without effectively five of his first six goals or six of his seven main goals with a wide receiver. We’ll know soon enough: Miami and Atlanta will kick off at 7 p.m. EST.
