“Cyberpunk 2077” Patch 1.3 Optical camouflage location, where to find the secret cyberware

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 introduced some interesting things to the game, but the the majority the interesting things were the ones the CDPR decided they shouldn’t talk about or show at all on their live broadcast, because why would it make sense?

But it turns out they’re more interesting than any amount of Johnny’s free jacket or costume DLC, and at least one has a significant impact on the game’s combat.

I already reviewed the first secret incorporation of 1.3, the MaxTac armor set that can now be looted from Judy’s apartment after 1.3, the only place in the game that can be achieved (though not be very good, looks great). Now, there is something else.

It would be an optical camo, a new piece of cyberware that has been around for a long time in game files and could even be activated through modifications, but is now officially available for the first time in the game. But it wasn’t advertised live, and heck, it’s just a small line of every hundred in the patch notes.

The optical camo is what it sounds like, as it gives you the ability to become invisible for a short period of time in a cooling time. Ideal for stealthy constructions, but also good for confusing enemies in open combat.

There are three levels of optimcal camouflage, rare, epic and legendary. And three different ripperdocs where you can find them. See the following maps:

Rare optical camouflage:

Epic optical camo:

Legendary optical camo:

If you’ve delved into the history or end of the Cyberpunk game, there’s no reason not to jump straight into the legendary optical camouflage, which means 15 seconds of invisibility every 60 seconds for $ 35,000, significantly less than most game cars and an easy purchase for any construction.

Why wasn’t this talked about or talked about as a new addition to the game? Or marketed as free DLC? My guess is that the CDPR knew that everyone knew this already existed in the game and that they would have gotten a flak for trying to launch an optical camo as a “free DLC” if it was something that was in the game since the release and it just wasn’t. available for any technical reason. So they just activated it. Still, at least they could have stood out for the flow. This and the MaxTac armor would have been more interesting than what they showed.

I still hope that other pieces of the free DLC yet to come could be cyber programs we haven’t seen yet, but none yet. And considering the 1.3 has just arrived here, it’s likely to be silenced by radio for a while.
