Asmongold is one of the biggest Twitch streamers in the world, and has been for a while, though he’s ready to quit, admitting he hasn’t had much fun lately. Asmongold is perhaps best known for his World of Warcraft rivers, and more recently Final Fantasy 14, and has been a staple of the MMO community for years, but it is possible that this era is coming to an end.
During a recent Twitvh broadcast, Asmongold noted that if he can’t have fun he will stop broadcasting. To that end, looking at what he has to say for fear of not being used against him doesn’t exactly contribute to the fun moments.
“I like to have fun, I like to play things, I like to do these things, and honestly, if I can’t do that, if I can’t have fun, and I have to constantly look at what I say because people it will grab it and use it against me, I don’t want to broadcast anymore, and that’s really the truth, ”Asmongold said during a recent Twitch feed. There’s a big part of me that just wants to quit, I don’t want to do it anymore. It’s not fun, I’m not enjoying it, and if it continues like this, I’ll probably do it. And that’s just the honest truth. I hate to say it, but I don’t I don’t want to deal with it anymore. ”
For now, it remains to be seen what will happen, but Asmongold points out that he no longer has to broadcast live and that the reason he continues to listen is purely for fun. Of course, if the fun dries up, so will the streamer’s will. It’s not clear what Asmongold’s net worth is, but he could probably retire comfortably tomorrow and not face any trolls in the chat again, which surely makes hanging up his boots even more appealing.
