JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man fights for his life after a shooting Sunday morning at a hotel north of the city, according to the Jacksonville sheriff’s office.
The Jacksonville sheriff’s office said it received a call to 911 shortly after 5 a.m. about a shooting at the Travelodge Inn and Suites on Airport Road.
Local agents said they located a man, believed to be about 40 years old, with at least one firearm. Police said he was taken to a hospital with fatal injuries.

This was the second shoot on Sunday morning in Jacksonville. Police said one person was killed in an early-morning shooting on Lane Avenue.
