The wrong types of hits keep coming in for the Jets defense.
Winger Jarrad Davis will be out two months after leaving Saturday’s game in Green Bay with an ankle injury, head coach Robert Saleh said Monday.
Saleh said this is not a high ankle sprain, but will be treated as one.
Davis, who will be out until about week 6 per week, had limped to the sideline before being transported to the locker room in the second quarter.
Two of the Jets ’off-season defensive splashes will now be on the sidelines of at least a major chunk of the season. Last week, defensive end Carl Lawson was ruled out for the year after breaking his Achilles.

“Jarrad has been nothing more than a professional since he came in here, the same with Carl,” Saleh said. “I feel bad for them for the amount of investment these guys have made in this game, just to have it all in one play.
“… We will find out. Someone will intensify and we will keep moving ”.
Saleh said Jamien Sherwood, selected for the fifth round of Auburn, would replace Davis.
