The state of Iowa and Notre Dame highlight the all-American AP preseason

Notre Dame and Iowa State each had three players selected for the Associated Press preseason All-America team, led by Irish defensive fighter Kyle Hamilton and cyclones Breece Hall.

The All-America preseason team presented by the Regions Bank was launched on Monday, five days before the first games of the season.

Eight teams have at least two first-team Americans, with Iowa’s seventh state and Notre Dame’s ninth-ranked at the top.

Along with Hall, Iowa State is represented on the first team by closed Charlie Kolar and defender Mike Rose. Hamilton is joined by Fighting Irish teammates Cain Madden, a guard who was transferred from Marshall to Notre Dame in the off-season, and runner Kyren Williams, who turned the team into a player for all purposes.
