ATLANTA – Perfect 10.
The Yankees continued their impressive change by beating the Braves, a team that was as hot as they were heading to Monday’s game at Truist Park.
Vibrated by another strong game from Giancarlo Stanton, who got a solo homer and a two-run double, the Yankees won their 10th consecutive season high, with a 5-1 victory.
It is their longest winning streak since last September and they reached the first match between two teams that participated with winning streaks of at least nine matches since 1901.
With the win, the Yankees placed four games ahead of the Rays in the AL East and began a nine-game road trip with another solid performance from their pitching staff.
Jordan Montgomery allowed just one run despite walking four of five innings. Jonathan Loaisiga and Wandy Peralta threw three innings without scores before Aroldis Chapman reached ninth in his first appearance, as he was unable to close out a win against Boston on Wednesday.

Chapman re-formed with a perfect entry.
It all came against an Atlanta team that, like the Yankees, had won nine straight and 16 of 18. The Braves were also 10-0 in their previous 10 games against left-wing starters.
Stanton gave the Yankees the lead at the top of the second with a homer on the right, his 21st of the season, against right-back Huascar Ynoa.
Dansby Swanson equalized to open the bottom of the inning with a home run to center Montgomery, who got help from Joey Gallo on the left later in the second, when Gallo made a dive catch close of the line to steal from Guillermo Heredia a potential double with an out.
Montgomery got into trouble in the fourth quarter, with two consecutive steps against Adam Duvall and William Contreras.
After the visit of throwing coach Matt Blake, Montgomery gave a liner to Heredia, who went to stop Andrew Velazquez to finish the final of the entry.
Velázquez had a double on the right in the fifth. Ynoa fell behind Montgomery, 3-1, before Montgomery went down swinging on a 3-2 playing field.
But it hardly mattered, with Stanton in training.
After Ynoa hit DJ LeMahieu with a throw to advance to sixth, Anthony Rizzo made a line in the middle and Aaron Judge flew to the right.
Gallo walked to extend the entrance and lead Stanton, who delivered again, this time breaking a double to the left that marked the two runners to make it 3-1.
The Yankees quickly became his bullpen, as Loaisiga replaced Montgomery, taking Stanton’s place in the lineup in the double shift, with Brett Gardner also entering the game.
Loaisiga made four in two impeccable innings before Luke Voit gave a pinch to the eighth after the judge made a single and Gallo walked again. An Edgar Santana balance put the two runners ahead before Voit walked to load the bases for Gary Sánchez, who snatched a two-run single on the left side of the field against Jesse Chávez 5-1.
