Walt Disney Parks and Resorts reaches agreement with Unions on COVID vaccinations for cast members

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has reached an agreement with the Service Trades Council Union to implement mandatory COVID-19 vaccines for cast members represented by unions.

All members of the Walt Disney World cast will soon be vaccinated against COVID-19

The agreement will require that all members of the STCU cast be fully vaccinated by October 22, 2021.

As part of the agreement, there is a process for cast members to apply for accommodation based on medical conditions or sincere religious beliefs.

Walt Disney Co. announced on July 30 that it would require the vaccination of all salaried and non-union cast members before September 30, 2021.

There are tens of thousands of union cast members at Walt Disney World

STCU represents thousands of members of the Walt Disney World cast, but there are other smaller unions that have not yet announced a timeline. However, this latest agreement with the STCU would seem to guarantee now that almost all members of the Walt Disney World cast will be vaccinated against COVID-19 on October 22, 2021.

Disney continues to host free vaccination events on the property of Walt Disney World, providing cast members with the already fully approved Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on schedule.
