Philadelphia Eagles increases pressure on Zach Wilson, Jets

Jets training camp observations Tuesday.

Moore of that

Rookie receiver Elijah Moore (quad) returned to practice after losing nearly two weeks and connected on an ingenious 30-yard side route with Zach Wilson. “Was doing [the defender] i think i was posting a post. As soon as I gave him my eyes, he played a little inside and I knew he had room to go out. Zach threw a good ball and I kept my feet inside, ”said Moore.

Now that hurts!

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts danced in the end zone after throwing a 1-yard TD pass to Jalen Reagor in a two-minute exercise at the end of Tuesday’s joint practice. The TD was set up by a passing interference call to Jets ’Bryce Hall corner.

Caught my attention

It was impossible to lose the amount of penetration that the Eagles defense consistently achieved against the Jets ’offensive line. Head coach Robert Saleh reiterated that he does not care about his team’s passing protection, despite what would have been at least five Wilson sacks by the Eagles.

Zach Wilson’s day

The rookie unofficially completed 10-of-14 passes in 11-on-11, but was pressured on some poor pitches and was fired early in practice. The first-team offense was also three-and-three in their final possession in two-minute drills.

Medical report

LT Mekhi Becton left the practice early to check for a head injury. CB Brandin Echols limped late to the practice after landing uncomfortably on his hip. Moore (quad) and G Alijah Vera-Tucker (pectoral) returned to team exercises. WR Denzel Mims (hip), TE Ryan Griffin (hamstring) and DT Sheldon Rankins (leg) are still out.
