Since January 1 this year, 19,749 unvaccinated people have been hospitalized for COVID-19, compared to 407 hospitalizations of fully vaccinated people. This equates to 97.98% of hospitalizations among unvaccinated people in Ohio this year.

There were 6,965 COVID-19-related deaths among unvaccinated people and 71 among vaccinated people, meaning that 98.99% of people who have died from COVID since January were not vaccinated.
