The Gathering is a real thing that will happen next year

Get ready to leave some cards at the start

Street Fighter’s long list of crossovers and guest appearances feels almost endless right now, but I’m not sure anyone would have seen the latter.

Wizards of the Coast made the startling announcement during its Magic Showcase 2021 event that the world of Street Fighter will join Magic: The Gathering to help celebrate the 35th anniversary of the fighting game series.

World Warriors will appear in a Secret Lair drop collection, which essentially means that existing Magic cards will be reprinted with a new work of art related to Street Fighter.

Chun-Li is the only character that has been confirmed so far for the whole of a letter with the Multikicker mechanic, and that certainly seems quite appropriate.

It is unknown how many cards will be included in the Street Fighter set, but Secret Lair drops usually contain three to five cards in total.

As for how they will be priced, Secret Lair drops usually cost $ 30 for non-foil games, while brighter foil cards will cost you $ 40.

It was also announced that Fortnite would receive its own seven Secret Lair during the presentation, which puts the two properties up there with previous Magic crossovers like Godzilla and The Walking Dead.

Wizards of the Coast has not yet announced a specific release date for the Street Fighter Secret Lair box, other than saying it will be available sometime in 2022.
