BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. (KDKA) – The KISS concert on Thursday night at the Star Lake Pavilion has been postponed, according to a statement on the band’s website.

In a post on Twitter, the band said that Paul Stanley has tested positive for COVID-19. The statement goes on to say that there will be more information on the upcoming show dates soon.

“Everyone on the tour, both the band and the crew, are completely vaccinated. The band and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and between shows. The tour also features a COVID security protocol officer on full-time staff who ensures everyone closely follows all CDC guidelines, ”the band said.

Stanley took to Twitter after the news to release a statement.

“PEOPLE !!! I’m fine! I’m not in the ICU! My heart allows me to cycle 26 miles a day! I don’t know where it came from, but it’s absolute nonsense.”

“A full press release on the upcoming KISS programs will be published shortly. I had been sick with flu-like symptoms and I was tested repeatedly and I was negative. At the end of this afternoon I tested positive. The crew, staff and band have been negative once again. More to follow, ”he said in a follow-up tweet.

The Star Lake Pavilion Facebook page said the show would begin at 7:30 p.m.

Earlier Thursday, KISS’s official Twitter account posted tonight’s show.

“BURGETTSTOWN, PA! Tonight is your night! We are wearing it! VERY BEAUTIFUL !!! ”
